The Wallace Group is a partnership created in 2004 by several leading UK Universities to support sports development for young people in Zambia. Today the partnership embraces 7 Universities, UK Sport, two NGBs, two Charities and our principle partner, the Zambian NGO, Sport in Action. As a group we share a commitment to the establishment and sustainable practices of International Development. Olympic Gold Medallist Adam Peaty and Wallace Group alumna Mel Marshall will head to Zambia this Summer in the hope of raising £50,000 to help make a real difference to the lives of young Zambians

Mel, who is also the Patron of the Perfect Day Foundation charity and Sport in Action Ambassador will lead a team of 12 to take on the massive challenge of raising £50,000 for 50 hours of sport. The event will see the team undertake 10 hours of sport per day for 5 days at 5 different location in Lusaka and the surrounding communities.


The money raised from the challenge will go directly to sustainable causes, making a real difference to the lives of young Zambians. The Perfect Day Foundation continues to support deprived areas of Lusaka covering communities where acute poverty,  HIV,  homelessness, teenage pregnancy,  domestic and gender based violence  are all a significant problem.
